We accept gold in any form, whether it’s 8-karat, 10-karat, 14-karat, 18-karat, 22-karat, 24-karat, or anything in between. We’re always looking out for gold bars or bullion, gold jewelry, and gold plating (e.g. watches or flatware). Occasionally our customers will bring us pieces crafted by top designers, such as Cartier, Tiffany, Rolex, Patek Philippe and more. These often fetch a higher price than the gold they contain due to their superior quality.
SILVER
Crown Gold Exchange in Riverside will accept any silver item, provided that the silver is of grade .800 or higher. Some silverware may be hallmarked with .800 or .830, meaning it’s 80% or 83% pure, respectively. Pure silver is marked .999 fine, and sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver (which also shows up as .925 sterling on the stampings). Some silver items we accept include silverware, jewelry, or even silver ornaments or bowls. Silver coins are usually minted at 90% pure, which is considered “coin silver”. Coin silver may or may not have a .900 mark.
